The Kelty Dennehy Mental Health Resource Centre (KDMHRC) is a place where people affected by mental health challenges, and their family and friends can feel comfortable to seek support and get trusted information. The KDMHRC is here to help you find community resources and information that meet your needs and support you on your path to health and well-being

WHERE & WHEN can you access KDMHRC services and supports?
The KDMHRC is located at 1337 St. Andrews Avenue, North Vancouver, BC
Find us on the ground floor of the HOpe Centre at Lions Gate Hospital, next to the HOpe Café.
Open Monday to Friday from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
Closed on weekends and stat holidays.

The Kelty Dennehy Mental Health Resource Centre is located on unceded indigenous land belonging to the Coast Salish peoples, including the territories of the Squamish and Tsleil Waututh Nations. We acknowledge the ongoing effects of colonialism and the systemic injustice faced by indigenous people.
WHAT services and supports are provided at the KDMHRC?
Along with being a hub and safe space for all, there are three main areas of support offered at the KDMHRC.
Peer Navigation – talk with a knowledgeable and compassionate Peer Navigator about your mental health challenges and about navigating the mental health system, resources, and supports.

Groups & Programs – connect with a Support Group, Art Class, Educational Presentation, Yoga Class, Book Club, Meditation Practice and much more.

Resource Library – look through or take home a book from a large library of mental health resources covering many topics.

Our services and supports are best suited for:
people who are affected by mental health challenges
family and friends of people affected by mental health challenges
health care professionals and community members supporting people with mental health challenges
WHO provides these services and supports?
The services and supports at the KDMHRC are provided by staff of the Canadian Mental Health Association North & West Vancouver. The primary staff at the KDMHRC are Peer Navigators. A Peer Navigator is someone who has lived experience of mental health challenges and has received peer support training. They can provide an empathic, non-judgmental listening ear. Where appropriate, they may provide guidance and suggest resources and techniques to help you through stressful times.
When you meet with a Peer Navigator you can expect:

Confidentiality (except in the case you plan to harm yourself or others)
Understanding
Strategies and Information

WHAT is the cost of the services and supports provided?
The services and support at the KDMHRC are provided at no cost to visitors. They are offered in partnership with Vancouver Coastal Heath, and partially funded by Lionsgate Hospital Foundation and West Vancouver Community Foundation.
